OVER 1,000 PARTICIPATE IN INDAH UTARA CYCLING EVENT

As part of its aim of promoting healthy and wholesome pursuits, Isuzu Malaysia, together with Indah Utara, its dealer in Alor Setar, organised a cycling event recently taking in some of the more scenic sights around the state.

The 916 Cycle For Health event garnered overwhelming interest with over 1,100 riders signing up for the privilege of riding in convoy with fellow enthusiasts along a 90km route that began from the Indah Utara Isuzu 3S Centre on Jalan Gangsa in Alor Setar.

With its versatile configuration that can fit numerous bicycles in the cargo bed, environmentally-friendly design and operation, as well as its highly-capable go-anywhere ability, the Isuzu D-Max is able to offer cycling enthusiasts with the perfect vehicle to bring them to their favourite riding venues or to explore new areas to ride in.

The event was flagged off by the Hon. Mayor of Alor Setar Ybhg Dato Hj Mohd Yusri bin Hj Md Daud together with the YDP of Kubang Pasu En Badrulhisham bin Hj Sulaiman, Kota Setar Chief Police Officer ACP Ahmad Shukri bin Mat Akhir, CEO of Environment Idaman Sdn Bhd En Zaki Abdul Aziz Daud, State Youth & Sports Department representative En Mohd Zamzury bin Mohd Refal, Directors of Indah Utara Auto Mr Poh Seng Keong and Poh Seng Hooi, COO of Isuzu Malaysia Kenkichi Sogo and President of Alor Setar LM Bikers Club Mr Poh Cheng Hai.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Sogo thanked the relevant authorities and organizing team for their effort in successfully putting together the event of this magnitude. “Organising and running a successful event such as this 916 Cycle For Health requires dedication and coordination. I take this opportunity to thank everyone involved, particularly Mr Poh and his team for months of preparation. I also wish to thank the participants for their enthusiasm and support of the event and I hope that more participants can come out to enjoy these healthy and safe activities organized by Isuzu,” said Mr. Sogo. With the assistance of the police, crews and Rela, the riders enjoyed a morning ride on a loop through Pokok Sena, Jitra and Kepala Batas before returning to the showroom for a scrumptious lunch and lucky draw.
