THOUSANDS THRONG ISUZU FAMILY CARNIVAL IN MIRI

A record turn out of over 10,000 visitors came to enjoy the festivities at the Isuzu Family Carnival that was held at the Boulevard Shopping Mall Car Park in Miri.

“We want to thank the people of Miri for their overwhelming support of our event and we hope that they had a memorable time with Isuzu over the weekend,” said COO Daisuke Ishida.

Crowds turned out early, particularly on Mothers’ Day to join in the extensive line up of activities that were planned for everyone. Among the most popular attractions was the D-MAXPERIENCE obstacle course where men and women, young and old had the chance to put the all-new Isuzu D-MAX through its paces over some very challenging obstacles including a 40-degree tilt ramp, a stomach-churning rugged road and the star attraction of the weekend, an 8.5-meter high ramp.

The sight of the Isuzu D-MAX climbing some 2-and-a-half stories high at an angle of 40 degrees was stunning and passing motorists gathered to capture the sight on their mobile phones. Over 800 guests took the opportunity to experience the ride for themselves and came away amazed at the control and traction of the Isuzu D-MAX.

The night concert was also a packed affair with a capacity crowd coming to catch the performances of local recording artistes Christine Chua, Catherine Yee, Nicole Lai and the local powerhouse Stacy who gave the crowds a performance to be remembered.
