In just under two months since its debut, the all-new Isuzu D-Max has picked up its first industry award, the Asian Auto-Allianz trophy for Best Value For Money Pick-up Truck 2013.
The award recognised the new Isuzu D-Max’s impressive balance of sophisticated features, excellent comfort, safety and engineering that is packaged in a stylish and modern body but priced appropriately for pick-up users.
“We aim for the Asian Auto Industry Awards to be a truer reflection of the car market in Malaysia. The evaluation standards are different, taking into account certain criteria such as quality aspects, assembly processes, customer level of acceptance and evaluation,” said Editor of Asian Auto Magazine Daniel Fernandez.
Chief Executive Officer of Isuzu Malaysia Mr Kimitoshi Kurokawa attributed the award to Isuzu’s strong engineering heritage that is able to produce a well-balanced vehicle that is able to satisfy the needs of modern day pick-up truck users.
“The all-new Isuzu D-Max embodies the true spirit of a pick-up truck with its strong engineering features, excellent fuel efficiency, reliability and durability while being packaged with a generous amount of sophistication and comfort making it a very alluring vehicle for any motorist,” said Kurokawa.
Receiving the award from CEO of Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Bhd Zakri Khir at the recent award ceremony in Kuala Lumpur was Marketing Manager of Isuzu Malaysia Denise Chow.
