ALL-NEW ISUZU D-MAX SWEEPS PICK-UP TRUCK OF THE YEAR TITLE

Following the award for Best Value For Money Pick-Up Truck by Asian Auto Magazine and the Car of The Year by organisers of the 2013 Borneo Safari, the all-new Isuzu D-Max 2.5 Auto has picked up its third award on a trot by winning the NST-Maybank Car Of The Year title in the Pick-up Truck category.

Commenting on the award, COO of Isuzu Malaysia Daisuke Ishida said that the accolades received by the all-new Isuzu D-Max had been the result of years of comprehensive research and development by Isuzu’s engineering team.

“The all-new Isuzu D-Max underwent a very extensive and elaborate research and development programme conducted by engineers together with pick-up truck users from across the globe. It even clocked some 4 million kilometers of testing and was put through the wind tunnel in Japan’s bullet train facilities. It remains one of the most comprehensively-developed pick-up trucks on the market today,” said Ishida.

This is the second time that the Isuzu D-Max has won the NST-Maybank Car of the Year award, the first being in 2010 with the 2.5-litre Super Commonrail. Receiving the award from Maybank’s Head of Consumer Finance Abdul Razak Mohd Nordin was Isuzu Malaysia’s Senior Manager, Vehicle Sales Junaidy Sulaiman.
